Sunday 5 July saw the sun shine for long enough for all to enjoy a fun-filled day in our wonderful parish garden! The aroma of the BBQ filled the air. No-one could have left hungry, with the array of food provided.
The Bouncy Castle and water slide were kept busy, although by 2pm when the rain did eventually fall the bouncing was a little less vigorous! But undeterred, everyone took cover from the elements in the parish room. A lovely day was had by all.

More than just a Red Box
Many members of our community have a Red Box in their homes. It’s a way we support the Pope’s official charity for overseas mission and the Mill Hill Missionaries, Britain’s own missionary society. Thank you to everyone who is a Red Box member.
Missio are holding a special collection for those whose Red Box may not have been opened for a while. Maybe it’s lurking on top of the fridge, or behind some books. If so, please bring it to Mass over the weekends of June 21st and 27th, and we will empty it. If you have any questions, contact Local Secretary, Jacky Tucker at email@example.com
‘Mission is at once a passion for Jesus and a passion for his people.’ Pope Francis
Pentecost Sunday saw the launch of St. Michael’s brand new website which has been developed with Clifton Diocese. Achieving the fundraising target for this project was a true community effort with both St Michael’s and our sister parish, St Mary’s Glastonbury, generously sponsoring my skydive dressed as a reindeer! Through this support we exceeded our target, reaching a little over £1000. Huge thanks must go to everyone for making my 120mph descent worth the grey hairs!
The new website will enable us to reach out to all and to share what is happening at St. Michael’s both with our parish, as well as the wider community.
