Christmas Social

Our Christmas Social in the Parish Room was after Gaudete Sunday Mass. There was mulled wine (plus a non-alcoholic version) warm mince pies, a raffle and stalls to browse, including Christmas table decorations created by our PRO-LIFE GROUP and our PATHWAY stall selling Christmas cards and Catholic pocket diaries. A good time was had by all.

Christmas Tree Festival

Thank you to Emily Andrewartha and family for decorating our table-top Christmas Tree on the theme of St Nicholas. This was proudly installed on behalf of St Michael’s at the Baptist Church in Shepton Mallet. We hope you were able to visit it and the other trees displayed there.

Celebrating our Diversity

We celebrated our Diversity last Sunday. The flags of the represented nations were brought to the alter with the offering. They will remain in front of the altar for a little while to remind us of the blessing they bring to the parish. A wonderful spread of food from all the nationalities were on offer after Mass for us to enjoy.

Knights of Columba Initiation

Congratulations to Tom Yardley who was initiated into the Knights of St Columba during Mass on September 1st. The ceremony was conducted by Bro. Séan Smith, Grand Knight (acting) of the Poole & Branksome Council. His parish is St Joseph & St Walburga parish in Poole where the parish priest is Fr Chris Findlay-Wilson, brother of Fr Dominic.

Parish Barbecue 2024

There was a very good turnout in the parish room for our barbecue after Mass. The weather was lovely and the food plentiful and delicious. Sale of Diocesan Pilgrimage merchandise.
