FAMILY FAST DAY COLLECTION

This Lent the Family Fast Day is 14th March. Please donate to our Family Fast Day parish collection and be a pilgrim of hope with CAFOD this Jubilee Year. You’ll be supporting communities suffering the impacts of war, poverty and climate change to find solutions and hope. Use the CAFOD envelope in church, donate online at CAFOD virtual envelope or call us on 0303 303 3030. You can also text CAFODLENT to 70085 to donate £10.

ASH WEDNESDAY

This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, and is a day of Fasting and Abstinence.

Fr Dominic celebrated Mass at 7pm, with Homily.


LENT LUNCHES - Wednesday March 12th and Thursday April 3rd

Please come along to our Lent Lunches this year.

We will be serving hot home-made soup and a roll in the parish room on Wednesday March 12th and Thursday April 3rd, between 12 noon and 1.30pm.

We will be joined by our friends from other churches in Shepton Mallet.

Everyone is welcome.

LENT RETREAT DAY - 5th April at St Bernadette’s Catholic Secondary School, Bristol.

Lent Retreat day to reflect upon & experience Reconciliation as the Sacrament of Hope on 5th April at St Bernadette’s Catholic Secondary School, Bristol.

Speakers are Fr. Brendan Callaghan SJ and Margaret & Barry Mizen.

The day will provide conversation and reflection.

We will finish with a Service of Reconciliation and the opportunity for individual confession with Bishop Bosco and priests from around the diocese.

Refreshments from 9.30am, please bring a packed lunch, our day will end by 3.30pm.
